We didn't do the Thursday run because it was cold and the flow was very low, but Friday after work things were better. There were 4 of us on the run. Two people flipped at the takeout rapid, which was... interesting?
Yeah, I don't know what happened at that takeout rapid... I've run it a bunch of times since, and haven't had any trouble at all. I've even tried to hit the same spot, but no issue. (I was one of the flippers...) -Lowell
This is the motto of Washington Recreational River Runners, which is a private whitewater boating club in the Pacific Northwest. Because of our weather, it's possible to boat in the Pacific Northwest all year long.
These are records of my trips starting in 2009, as well as some general articles about whitewater boating. I have been running whitewater since 1989, and have over 800 river days since then. I am hoping to reach 1000 days by the summer of 2014 - my 25th anniversary of rafting.
